iPhone 4S Now Available on Apple Online Store

It looks like Apple has updated their Malaysia Apple online store; you can now purchase the iPhone 4S from the store from RM2,199 onwards. Unlike the iPhone 3GS or the iPhone 4, Apple store is selling all the 3 different models offered – 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.

Available immediately, the online purchase from Apple comes with free delivery and will take about 1-2 weeks of shipping. It’ll be unlocked of course, so if you’re one of those who don’t wish to be tied up to a telco for at least 12 months just to enjoy a tiny bit of discount offered, I guess this is the best way to make your purchase.

But those aren’t the interesting part of the offer from Apple directly. If you head on in to the store, you can find that the selling price from Apple directly is slightly cheaper than what is offered by our local telcos.

Unless you’re buying the 16GB unit, which is about RM9 more expensive than Maxis’ and Celcom’s RRP, you’re actually saving less when you purchase it from a telco and get tied to a contract.

Check out the iPhone 4S on Apple’s online store right now. The store is offering various payment methods which include bank transfer so even those who don’t own a credit card can make their online purchase. Do note that you can only purchase a maximum of two units per person.
